Elie and Campos File New Motions

A motion in limine has been filed by Chad Elie and John Campos requesting they be allowed to present evidence to a jury proving that online poker is a game of skill.

Campos was a former vice-chairman of a Utah bank and Elie a payment processor that helped send funds between online poker sites and U.S. based poker players. They were indicted, along with others, on April 15th by the U.S. Department of Justice when Black Friday hit the online poker industry.

Elie and Campos are now in the process of asking to present evidence to a jury that poker is a game of skill and they are not guilty of violating the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) since poker involves skill and is not a game of chance.
