WSOP on ESPN: The Big One

Yesterday ESPN kicked off the broadcast of WSOP action with the two episodes from the Big One for One Drop $1-million buy-in tournament.

The Big One for One Drop is a record setter on more than one level with the massive buy-in, the even more massive prize pool, and more.

The biggest buy-in event in poker tournament history was held from July 1st through 3rd and the field was capped at 48. The prize pool was a knock-your-socks-off gigantic $42,666,672 and $18,346,673 was waiting for the last player standing. Many of poker’s best took a seat for a shot at history and cash: Jonathan Duhamel, Erik Seidel, Michael Mizrachi, Phil Galfond, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Jason Mercier, Ben Lamb and Gus Hansen, just to name a few.
